Don’t let the cold weather get the better of you this Winter. Use the opportunity to venture to the Franschhoek Wine Valley which is #OpenForWinter. Come out from the cold and discover the amazing offers Franschhoek has in store for you this season. Cozy warm fireplaces, robust red wines, soul comforting food and so much more.

Traditionally a quieter time of year why not make the most of the wintry weather with a weekend getaway. Some of the accommodation establishments in the valley are running incredible offers which include a ‘stay for three nights and only pay for two’ package. Another includes a complimentary back and shoulder massage as well as a bottle of wine if booking for two nights. If that’s not tempting enough then don’t miss out on the amazing Dine Out Special, which includes overnight accommodation (bed and breakfast) as well as a gourmet three-course dinner if booking for two people.

If you prefer a day trip then exploring the amazing wine farms in the area is just what the doctor ordered. Winter promotions include a vertical Pinotage tasting; a free bottle of wine with six bottles purchased as well as amazing winter promotions on current release vintages.

Wine tasting will no doubt work up a hefty appetite and a visit to Franschhoek isn’t complete without experiencing a delicious meal from the selection of world-class dining establishments in the area. Choose from a wide selection of offerings which range from a hearty gourmet two-course meal to a simple yet beautifully presented and decadently tasty tapas inspired spread. The meals are perfectly paired with wines from the region to complement and enhance the flavours of the food.

A leisurely stroll down the main road for a spot of retail therapy completes what promises to be the perfect Winter escape. Ranging from clothing, décor, art and much more you’re bound to find some fantastic Winter promotions.

This is just a sampling of what visitors can expect to find when exploring Franschhoek this winter, with the offers running until 31 August 2017. For more information on participating establishments follow Franschhoek Wine Valley on social media (#OpenforWinter) or visit our website at
