The destination’s fine array of culinary adventures includes Bertus Basson’s restaurant, aptly named Bertus Basson at Spice Route, which offers traditional South African fare, including popular picnic accompaniments such as local Fairview cheeses, fresh breads and artisanal meats. Their traditional inspired menu is also available from the restaurant, which includes dishes such as beef nachos, bobotie, yellow rice and raisins with sambals, boerrie rolls and milktart milkshake.
